Our Bark-tastic Story

ChiWow Studios was born from the boundless love and inspiration that Gayle and her wife share for their two cherished Chihuahuas, TeAmo and Tino. These pint-sized pups are the heart of their home, with lives revolving around their playful antics and endless charm. With a seemingly endless list of nicknames like AmoBee, Tay-Mader, Mobi, and PapiTino, the couple found themselves creating vibrant characters based on the unique personalities of their furry companions. This deep connection sparked a creative journey that would soon captivate young artists everywhere.

With over 30 years as an artist, Gayle decided to transform this love into something tangible—coloring books inspired by TeAmo and Tino’s quirky traits. The result is the “Happy Tails” series, featuring Chihuahuas dressed in delightful costumes, sports uniforms, and career outfits, complete with matching cartoon-style backgrounds. What began as a joyful personal project is blossoming into a growing collection, expanding to include other animals like cats, various dog breeds, monkeys, elephants, rabbits and so much more. Each volume is a celebration of creativity, bringing Gayle’s artistic passion to life for kids to enjoy!
